GEICO’s new regional headquarters is a 3-story 200,215 SF office building on 19.37 acres. The office building consists of steel deck and tilt-panel construction with glass windows and metal accents. It offers its employees modern open workspaces, an onsite cafeteria, fitness center, credit union, and 20,000 SF of patios and balconies. At GEICO’s previous office location, they struggled with having enough parking for their 1,500 employees. It was important that their new office would not only provide enough parking for their current employees but also for their expected growth. ONYX Creative designed the site so it provides 2,041 parking spaces and an additional 32 accessible parking spaces. The larger parking lot also became a great opportunity for GEICO to show their green initiative by covering the parking lot with solar covered parking canopies which provide 80% of the buildings power.
